The Cambridge O Level programme
Conscious of the importance of continuity in education, PSI upgraded the school to Classes IX and X in 2000 to include O Levels.
The course follows the Cambridge syllabus and prepares students for the O Level examinations over two years. The two-year time frame may be extended by a year if a student is not yet ready to meet the academic standard for the examination.
A highly interactive approach is encouraged through discussion and group work, complemented by regular written class and home assignments. In the sciences, learning is supported by investigation and experiments in the lab. Assessment is continuous across the two years.
Students are encouraged to show leadership in school and community activities, including helping in a primary classroom.
